Partners in Thai Yoga Body Work
According to Ayurvedic science, there is an extensive network of energy lines running throughout the body. Thai Yoga Bodywork focuses on moving energy along these lines, releasing body tension and promoting relaxation. The practitioner is doing both bodywork and Vipasana; a moving meditation. In this way Thai massage can achieve powerful results for both the giver and the receiver. The Thai Yoga practitioner places his client into passive yoga positions and then applies rhythmic compression, traction and twisting to the muscles and bones. Workshop partners will alternate between giving and receiving while the workshop leader guides them through a series of massage sequences. Since Thai massage is done fully clothed on the floor, please wear loose comfortable clothing. Long pants and long sleeves are preferred. Please be prepared to have fun in this awesome workshop!
